About the Author

Hi. Kid Mercury is my pen name. My real name is Simit Patel. My first name rhymes with "limit." 

I was born in 1980 in the United States, where I've spent virtually my entire life. My parents are from India.  

Professionally, most of my adult life I've spent working in the currency trading business. Specifically, I did a lot of work related to Internet stuff for a currency trading brokerage firm, developing online communities for them. This experience provided me with the perspective needed to write this book.  

Personally, I've spent more time studying astrology and psychology than anything else.  Although history is a close second, and may become first in due time.  

I also write songs from my bedroom and distribute them through iTunes, Amazon, etc. Search for me on those sites to find albums I've released.
