The 4% rate is applied to any order we receive from users who entered your Affiliate ID during their FastPencil registration. Your referral fee is based on shipped items or services rendered where revenue has been received by FastPencil and the customer is satisfied.
For example, if five (5) users entered your Affiliate ID in one month, for a total of $1,000 in revenue for FastPencil, you would accrue $1,000 x 0.04, or $40 in Affiliate revenue.
What Items Qualify for Referral Fees, and How Are the Fees Calculated?
Affiliates earn a flat-rate 4% referral fee when visitors use their personalized Affiliate ID during the registration process and make a purchase with FastPencil or publish and sell their book. These purchases can be ala-carte services, FP Packages, selecting to distribute their book or from retail profits of their book. Affiliates can also place direct product links on their sites and receive direct product sales revenue if purchased using your Affiliate ID during check out. Please note that referral fees are calculated on the sale price, not the list price, of each qualifying service or product. You earn referral fees according to the payment structures laid out below.
How Do I Track My Affiliate Revenue
We provide easy to read reports that contain relevant data about the activity of your Affiliate ID registrations and direct product links. This information includes details on your revenue, earnings and balance owed. Up to date reports ensure you have the information you need and can be found in your Account Details on your Dashboard.
How Much Do I Earn for Generating Sales Through My Links?
You earn referral fees whenever a visitor follows a link from your Website to FastPencil.com and makes a purchase using your Affiliate ID.
Do Referral Links Expire?
You earn referral fees on any qualifying items placed in a customer's Shopping Cart that use your Affiliate ID. However, if they do not use your ID during check out, your referral fee will not take affect. The referral fee will not be credited to your Affiliate account until the customer has purchased the item, accepted delivery, and remitted full payment to FastPencil.com.
Can You Recommend Ways to Increase My Referral Fees?
The amount of traffic you drive to your Web site has a direct effect on the number of sales you generate, and therefore on the referral fees you earn.
For Payment Purposes, When Does Each Month End?
The month ends at 11:59 p.m. (Pacific time) the last day of the month.
Referral fees are paid on a quarterly basis by check or FastPencil Gift Certificates approximately 60 days after the end of the month for which they are being paid.
Why Do I Have a Negative Account Balance?
In rare circumstances, enough items may have shipped during a previous month, for which you have already been paid, and then returned or refunded during the current quarter, to cause the amount you owe us to exceed your referral fees for the current quarter. This produces a negative balance. If this situation occurs, we will simply deduct the amount from future referral fees, so you will not have to send in any money.
