Heroes in Our Midst

Online book publisher FastPencil is proud to host the publication of Heroes in Our Midst: Stories from Afghanistan and Iraq. The purpose of the book is to give service members the opportunity to tell stories of the heroism of their warrior comrades. 80% of net profits from book sales will be donated to the USO, the nonprofit organization that provides comfort to and aids the morale of American service members across the globe.

Heroes in Our Midst will contain nearly 100 stories of every day heroism. We’re asking for your help to make this book a reality. If you served with an airman, marine, sailor, or soldier who showed exemplary courage, determination, and care for comrades, this is your opportunity to show your appreciation. Not every hero gets a medal, but your warrior buddy can be recognized in this book.

To submit a story about a hero you served with, please complete the form below. All stories will be reviewed, but not all will be selected for the book. Stories may also be edited for length and clarity.
