Happy Leap Year, by Bill Quain, Ph.D.
Ocean City, NJ – February 21, 2012
When self-published author Bill Quain decided to write his 19th book, he looked to the calendar for inspiration. Releasing Happy Leap Year – Leap, Leverage, Dream & Dare 24/7/366 in May 2011, the book quickly sold over 24,000 copies in the U.S., and was also published in China and India. With growing popular demand for the book and its message, Happy Leap Year is now available, for the first time, on Amazon.com, in paperback and Kindle.
“I write books for readers who want to make dramatic changes in their lives,” said Bill Quain. “Time and money are the two big issues they face, and Leap Year Day, with its unique origins, is the perfect time of the year to start making more money!”
The book begins by describing just how Leap Years came about. “Most people don’t know this, but there are two kinds of years – Common Years and Leap Years,” Quain writes. He adds, “I tell my readers that they don’t need another Common Year – one filled with a recession, unemployment and stress. They need an UNCOMMON YEAR – a Leap Year.”
In subsequent chapters, Quain describes the power of Leaping, especially the idea of “leaping with leverage.” He draws upon his own experiences as a high-school pole vaulter in 1967, when he jumped higher than the World Record Holder at that time, Valeriy Brumel of the Soviet Union. “It was actually a great life lesson and not very hard to do,” explains Quain. “Brumel was a high jumper, and I was a pole vaulter. I jumped higher because I had leverage with the pole. If people learn to use their own personal leverage, they can achieve great things. In fact, they can leap over almost any obstacle.”
Quain is a great example of leaping over obstacles. He began to lose his eyesight at age 14, and today, he is legally blind. He began his personal Leap Year journey on July 7, 1993, when he and his wife saw a large yacht pass by on the Intra-Coastal Waterway in Fort Lauderdale. The couple instantly decided to change their lives, move to the water and overcome their money problems. Since that time, Quain wrote a series of international best-sellers that help other people dare to reach their dreams. He sold over 2 million copies of his books.
Bill Quain will host a “Happy Leap Year” online workshop on February 29th. Using new technology, he will broadcast the event live on Facebook.
