Ramblings of a Love Drunk Sailor...
A collection of love letters that captured my wife's heart
This is a collection of emails between my wife and I when I was chasing after her for the better part of two years while I was either stranded on a boat, or in Central America, or on an Island named Oahu. I was a newly enlisted Coastguard Seaman and met Maggie again while I was briefly home visiting my parents before heading to my new station assignment in Hawaii (my dream location). We had a great night out and I somehow convinced her to give me her phone number. I would call her from time to time, mostly when it was winter in Minnesota to rub it in that I was standing in the ocean on a beach and it was 85 degrees out and sunny, just like the day before was. It got to the point that I could not get Maggie out of my head and we started to talk more and more. When I we would head out on a patrol, they lasted 3-4 months long that we would be sailing from port to port. Maggie and I would write emails back and forth casually when I was sailing. Finally when I was restricted to the ship for a few minor infractions, I found I had some free time in my hands. Oddly enough I become very creative after 3 redbulls, 10 cups of coffee, oh yeah and a couple redbulls. We started to write more and more and I fell head over heels in love with Maggie, and I decided that I would do my best to be as witty as possible to marry the most awesome woman ever.
