Kellea Tibbs considers herself a Freelance Writer/Journalist/Poet, who was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and she received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Kent State University in 1997. Foregoing a career in law and opting instead for a career working with college aged students in the field of Student Affairs, Kellea has worked diligently to help students become successful through mentoring and leadership development.
Writing poetry since high school, Kellea hopes to see her lifelong dream of becoming a published author come true. Also, as an avid blogger, she hopes her forthcoming book, The Recession Diaries, full of commentary on politics, pop culture, and social issues will find its way to readers who enjoy this new genre of online blogging. It is Kellea's goal to become a teacher in the area of Media Literacy & Technology, get her MFA (Master's of Fine Arts) degree, and retire as a successful author and poet.
