Singing and songwriting have always been two of Jimmie's three passions. The third, and not necessarily in that order- is children. She often says that if she hadn't chosen to become a singer, she would teach elementary school. After trying to find a way to incorporate her songwriting and love of children into one, she decided to try her hand at writing children's books. She has two young sons of her own who are eager to test out the new books she's been drafting.
