Born with dog hair in my genes, my human and canine family keeps me focused. A retired Environmental Health and Emergency Management professional, my stubbornness is softened by my sense of humor and caring volunteer spirit; participating as a search and rescue dog handler during the Mexico City earthquakes, or Humane Society Logistics Team Member for Hurricanes Katrina and Rita among others. My daughters described me best when they said, “Mom’s got the heart of a hippie, the mind of a leader, and the take charge attitude of ‘The Donald’, Donald Trump. That’s why she’s called, “The Momma”.
