Tammy Coia has been an educator for over 25 years. Her vast background includes teaching elementary - high school english as well as working as an educational therapist with children with learning disabilities. Ms. Coia opened up TLC Educational Center in the bay area in 1999 and taught many children the joys of writing. As a published author, Ms. Coia often visited schools in the area to promote literacy. In 2008, Ms. Coia moved to Palm Desert and opened up TLC Writing Workshops where she has started a program called the Legacy Series. She is working with women on leaving a legacy in the form of a memoir.
